There seem to be a lot of people who have heard about the DCP, or know people who have participated in it, and there also seem to be a lot of people who are not familiar with it at all. In one sentence, the DCP is an internship/co-op that college students participate in at either Disneyland or Walt Disney World. With that being said, there are three aspects to the program: living, learning, earning.
Living.
Csv to excel python downloadbackstage. Students who participate in the program are offered the opportunity to live in fully furnished apartment complexes that are owned and run by Disney. In Orlando, there are four complexes you can choose to live in: Vista Way, Paterson Court, Chattham Square, and the Commoms. The room types vary for each of the complexes but you are going to be sharing a bedroom and bathroom with at least one other person, ans you can live with up to 8 roommates (2/room). With the exception of the Commons, you will be needing to pay for laundry facilities, which are located throughout each of the complexes. The Commons apartments have washer/dryer in the apartment itself so you’ll be paying a little more in rent for this setup. There is transportation provided from your apartment to your workplace and local shopping centers, so you don’t even need to bring a car (this can save you a bit of money when it comes to paying for gas). I believe that the current rates for rent vary between $89-$118/week. This does include utilities, 24 hr security, transportation, access to workout facilities, and pool areas in the complexes.
I am not really sure how the apartment situation works in Anaheim, but I believe that they do not provide transportation; you will need to take public transportation or bring your own vehicle.
Learning.
All students are offered the opportunity to take classes or seminars while participating in the DCP, and if you’re in Disneyland you’re required to take at least one. You may be able to receive credit for the classes that you take, but not for the seminars. Be aware that some schools won’t give you credits for the classes you take so make sure to check with your academic advisor at school. Birthdaypaper crafts & creations. I know that students can make this into an independent study so there is that option as well.

Earning.
This is probably the biggest part of the program, after all you are applying to work for Disney. There a variety of jobs that are available and offered to applicants each semester. Disney calls the jobs roles, so that’s what I’ll be referring to them as throughout the rest of my blog. The role positions vary between WDW and DLR, but all are paid positions. You are going to be working about 35-40 hours a week, and probably even more during peak seasons. When you are offered a role, you get an email with the job descriptions and expectations, but you won’t find out your exact location until check-in. Since I’ll be working in merchandise I could be placed in any of the parks, resorts, or Downtown Disney.
There are also some perks to the program including discounts on merchandise, food, Disney resorts, Disney Cruise Line, and free park admission to any of the Disney parks across the world.

Participants' housing accommodations will be finalized when they register on their check-in day. All participants are separated based on gender and whether they are over or under 21 years of age.
Students wishing to take advantage of our housing must be available to arrive on May 19, 2008 and depart on January 3, 2009 for the 2008 Fall Disney College Program at the Disneyland Resort.
